Spring Cleaning for Fortress!

We’re excited to announce a new and easy way for you to help us as we continue to ignite powerful change in the lives of our beautiful, gifted, chosen, hopeful youth.

We have partnered with a local company, easysale, that can turn your “extra stuff” into cash for our children and youth programs. This program is so much better than a garage sale! The great news is that it’s easy and your donation will be 100% tax deductible. (Meets requirement for new IRS donation rules.)

The benefits are mutual: YOU free up space for productive use in your home or business, and FORTRESS receives a check in the mail! It’s easy.

  1. They Pick It Up… easysale sends their professional staff to your home or business for items that you are not using - or worse, items that you are paying storage fees for that you will never use.
  2. Or you can drop it off …. easysale has storefronts in Arlington, Addison, Dallas, Plano and Southlake (see website for addresses).
  3. They Sell It…These items are then taken back to the easysale distribution center where they are processed, professionally photographed, and listed onto auction sites for sale. You will be able to watch the progress of your items.
  4. We Get Paid…For any items sold; easysale will process the payments and send a check directly to Fortress. We then send you your 100% tax deductible receipt for the amount your item raised!

How to Donate:
1. Schedule a pick-up. You may do this one of three ways:
Call (817) 640-EASY (3279). Be sure to identify yourself as a donor for Fortress.
Visit the easysale website at http://www.easysale.net/request-pickup/, then choose Fortress YDC as the charity you wish to support. Or visit one of their stores – visit the easysale website for locations.

2. Have the items you would like to donate readily accessible when the easysale truck arrives.

3. Tell your friends and family about this event and how easy it is to help the kids we serve!

What to Donate:

Any item you think may have a value of $50, such as:

If you’d like to help with our spring fundraising effort but don’t have anything to donate, please consider making a cash donation by either clicking the “donate” button on the right side of your screen, or by sending a check to Fortress YDC, PO Box 422, Fort Worth, Texas, 76101. Please make a note that the donation is for “Spring Cleaning donation”.
