Dates/Times: 6/1/2015-8/8/2015. Mon-Thur 8:00-5:00 with some weekend hours required.
Full-time internship. Unpaid with option of fundraising for salary.
Job Summary: Interns are responsible for teaching and reflecting the love of God in all interactions with students, parents, teachers, and volunteers; implementing age-appropriate curriculum for their respective classrooms; developing relationships with Fortress children; implementing the adopted behavior management plan; social, academic and spiritual mentoring; managing the daily schedule; daily prep and clean-up; ensuring the safety and well-being of Fortress children; spiritual role modeling for youth group volunteers; and leading Urban Experience, a hands-on introduction to inner-city life for youth group volunteers. A viable alternative to a church internship, Fortress summer internships give psychology, social work, education, and youth ministry students the opportunity to apply their skills in the local mission field. Interns work with either preschool, elementary or middle school-aged children.

After-School 2015-16 Staff

Dates/Times: 8/24/2015-5/26/2015. Mon-Thur 2:00-7:00.
Part-time. $8-$12/hr, depending on experience and job responsibilities.
Job Summary: After-school staff members work with students in PreK-8th grade. Staff placements include computer lab facilitator, homework teacher, and teacher's assistant. Staff are responsible for: teaching and reflecting the love of God in all interactions with students, parents, teachers, and volunteers; implementing age-appropriate curriculum for their respective classrooms; developing loving, Christ-like relationships with Fortress children; implementing the adopted behavior management plan; social, academic and spiritual mentoring; managing the daily schedule; daily prep and clean-up; and ensuring the safety and well-being of Fortress children.
