We have three unique mission opportunities for groups of varying sizes and ages:

For groups with HIGH SCHOOL-aged volunteers, we recommend our Barnabas Trip. Barnabas Groups work with our elementary and middle school-aged students, participate in the full Urban Experience, and have an active role in planning and participating in daily activities. We require that Barnabas Groups have between 12-30 participants, including chaperones.

For groups with MIDDLE and/or HIGH SCHOOL-aged volunteers, we have two trip options. The first is the Silas Trip for groups with 5-15 participants. Silas Groups work with our preschool-aged students and participate in Urban Experience. They participate in all aspects of the preschool program and help plan certain aspects with their youth minister.

The Timothy Trip also accommodates MIDDLE and/or HIGH SCHOOL-aged volunteers, and is for groups with 22-30 participants. Timothy Groups work with our preschool-aged students and plan two field trips. They also participate in Urban Experience.

All youth group participants will be paired with two to five of our Fortress kids, depending on your group size. They will be “buddies” all week long, participating in our program activities together and eating lunch together. Your youth will act as mentors to our kids. We’re excited about the relationships that will be formed and the lifelong impact that these relationships could have on our kids and yours.
