Jam 2008 -

Operates weekdays during
the summer months. It involves activities for children ages 3
through 12th grades. They participate in a variety of
activities including worship, Bible lessons, craft time, park time,
field trips and summer camp.
Summer JAM exists to provide a safe, loving environment where youth are
encouraged to grow closer to Jesus Christ. Fortress provides all of our
Summer Jam participants with Monday-Thursday transportation to and from
Fortress, breakfast, lunch, and the opportunity to make new friends while
learning about our best friend Jesus.
Our daily schedule begins with
breakfast and lunch. In-between meals, the children participate
in a variety of events including praise and worship, bible lessons,
crafts, park time, etc.
Each week we also take a field trip to places
such as Main Event, the Fort Worth Zoo, Rangers' games and even
Hurricane Harbor. This program is only possible because of the
dedication of our 12-15 college interns who commit their summer to share
the love & gospel of Jesus Christ, and the Youth Groups from all over
the U.S. who stay at Fortress, prepare and present the weekly VBS, and
provide the weekly field trip. |
