Fortress YDC is excited to announce that we have acquired innovative literacy software
from Essential Learning Systems, along with 12 new computers for our new literacy lab.
Thanks to the generous
support of individuals
and a grant from a local
foundation, Fortress
was able to acquire 12
new computers and CEI's
innovative
Essential Learning
Systems software in
2005. The literacy lab
is a wonderful tool,
helping our kids improve
both their instructional
reading levels, and
their reading
comprehension. During
the 2006-07 school year,
our students gained an
average of 2.5 grade
levels! Each lab
session is 45 minutes, 4
days a week during the
entire school year.
This proven software
continues to allow us to
provide the best
literacy training
available while sharing
the love of Christ daily
with our youth. |
