Debbie Juarez
Teacher - Early Learning Center

This is Debbie’s second year at Fortress. She enjoys being around the children and she feels like really connects with the kiddos. There is never a mundane minute at Fortress — there is a scheduled routine, but the kids give Fortress its liveliness and spontaneity! When she’s not in the classroom, Debbie also translates for our growing Hispanic population. She is proud to say she is of Mexican descent.

Debbie is on a mission to complete a Bachelor's degree in Education. As part of her plan to gain experience working with children, she decided to apply at development centers. While looking through countless hiring ads online, Fortress stood out to her. Fortress was the only development center that sought to teach the word of God to young students.

Debbie has already created bonds and feels like part of the family at Fortress. One of her favorite moments was when an eighteen month-old baby posed for a picture. She says it is so funny how quick people are to take a selfie -- so quick that our babies are learning what to do when our cell phones are out!

Debbie is a loving mother to four daughters. She enjoys family vacations as well as meeting new people. (Her daughters always say, "Mom why are you always talking to strangers?"). Debbie is horrible with names, so be patient, but she is excellent at recognizing smiling faces!
