A Fortress volunteer herself during her high school years, Dani served as a lead staff member since 2010. She never imagined that she’d be working in the non-profit sector, much less loving it, but her time at Fortress invoked a calling she didn’t know she had. She is currently studying Marketing so that she can further pursue a career helping nonprofit organizations share their missions with their surrounding communities.
Dani’s passion for Fortress’s mission stems from her time as a peer mentor in Fortress’s inaugural after-school class (2005), and then again from her summers spent as a counselor at Camp of the Hills. Those experiences gave her a heart for inner-city ministry, and now she feels blessed to use her time and talents instilling that same passion in the staff and volunteers who make our work possible.
Dani lives for TCU football and travelling to the Pacific Northwest. When she’s not spending her weekends overseeing work groups, she likes to binge watch Netflix, read melodramatic novels, and explore the holes-in-the-wall of her favorite city and hometown, Fort Worth.
