Dani Kocur
Director of Social-Emotional Learning

Dani started her Fortress journey as a volunteer in 7th grade, and has been on staff since 2010. Having completed her training through TCU's Karyn Purvis Institute of Child Development, Dani works directly with our students and parents as a Trust-Based Relational Intervention (TBRI) Practitioner. She loves identifying and meeting the unseen needs of kids, and particularly enjoys equipping parents, staff, and volunteers to do the same. She fervently believes that every single kid at Fortress has incredible, God-given potential just waiting to be tapped!

Dani also enjoys sharing Fortress's work on local and national levels. She has been a presenter at the Texas Mentoring Summit and North Texas Giving Day Social Media Training. She also led the Texas team in advocacy for vulnerable youth through the National Mentoring Summit's Capitol Hill Day in 2017, and is looking forward to being a presenter at both the 2018 National Mentoring Summit in Washington, DC and Beyond School Hours Conference in Orlando, FL.

Dani spends her free time cheering on the Texas Rangers and Horned Frogs football, binge-watching Netflix, and exploring the eats and sights of Fort Worth with her fiance, Kevin.
