And Theirs Shall Be the Kingdom of Heaven

What an awesome experience!

Getting to spend time with these kids has been nothing but a blessing. I've been getting a little depressed when I realize that I will have to part with Cameron, Roy, Brandon, Dreshawn, Adrian and Chance. Luckily I find some comfort in knowing that they will be in the wonderful hands of the Fortress staff and volunteers. In all honesty, I'm very tired but it is all worth it.

The first morning I wasn't very happy that I had slept on the floor the night before. As we were driving to go do communion with our homeless brothers and sisters I fully expected a major guilt trip, but it was not like that at all. I was overwhelmed with the kindness of so many of the people I spent time with.

Before I left home I decided to myself that I would look for God around and in Fort Worth. I didn't expect for it to be this easy, but why was I surprised? I mean I have been spending time with kids, and isn't the kingdom of God theirs?
