Fortress YDC focuses on the educational, social, and spiritual development of urban youth in Fort Worth, Texas, and aims to provide a holistic approach to the well-being and growth of the students we serve. The children we serve attend Fortress free-of-charge. Most come from homes ensnared in a cycle of generational poverty. Some come from single-parent homes struggling to make ends meet. All deserve the same opportunities that their peers across town enjoy: quality educational resources, consistency, and the opportunity to achieve their dreams.
We offer the best educational resources available, outstanding programming, and a passionate, dedicated staff to help our students reach their highest potential in school and in life.

A one-time gift or a recurring donation...every little bit helps. Our kids count on Fortress. Fortress counts on you.

FLC (Fortress Literacy Center)
Fortress Literacy Center (FLC) serves as our after-school program for grades PreK-8th. We operate Monday-Thursday, from the time school lets out until 6:30. After enjoying a healthy snack, homework and literacy training are our first priorities, followed by mentoring, free time, a daily Bible lesson and devotional, and dinner.
